PUBLIC TRANSIT

The Cape Glory Transit Authority oversees several of the city's public transit systems including the Metro Rail, Bus Lines, and Subway system. Thanks to careful planning, smartly applied technology, and convenience the Cape Glory Transit Authority proudly offers three affordable, safe and comfortable ways to travel through the city.

BUS LINES

The Cape Glory Citybus Lines run from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fares are $1.00 for adults, and $.50 for minors and seniors. Monthly passes can be purchased for $30 ($20 for minors/seniors) and are available at any major Citybus terminals located in Downtown and City Square. Cape Glory Citybus runs along all major streets and bus stops are found on most if not all of their intersections.

METRO LINES

The Cape Glory Commuter Rail services all major city districts except for Chinatown, Little Italy, New Shannon and Langston. The commuter rail runs 24 hours a day and after 8:00 p.m. operates at a reduced capacity due to off-peak hours. Terminals can be found along the major streets (Portsmouth excepted) and tickets are $4 from automated kiosks at each terminal. Monthy MetroPass cards can be purchased from the Central Station for $50 and pays any ticket fare for the 30 days it is active.

SUBWAY LINES

The Cape Glory Subway System runs though most of eastern Cape Glory 24 hours a day. Fares are $2.50 with tickets available from kiosks in the stations. Timetables are readily available in all stations and trains run on schedules most nights without fail. The Subway runs through all disctricts except for Chinatown, Little Italy, New Shannon, Langston, Warehouse District, West End, Glory Port/Red Hook Harbor Area, and Wentworth. Travelers are encouraged to take the Cape Glory Citybus or Commuter Rail if traveling to those districts.

TAXI SERVICE

Cape Glory is home to a few small cab companies that operate from district to district with 2-3 cars per company. Otherwise the biggest, and most redily available taxi service is the Bay City Cab Company which runs through all districts at all hours. Fares are $2.00/mile, $0.25/minute waiting, and all passengers ride for the price of one. Minivans are available though less common, and the Bay City Cab Company can be contacted directly for on-demand pickup.

Amtrak handles most of the major rail travel for the country, and Cape Glory is no different. With their Northeast rail line servicing eighteen states including New Hampshire, affordable tickets can be gotten from any of the Amtrak stations in the city. Specific accomodations and prices vary based on ticket and train.
