Ben Wright rolled into town in May of 2008 when the city was in the midst of war with the Sabbat. Although Ben is not much of a fighter type, this was actually on purpose. He knew one Kindred, Helena. In fact he was fully blood bond to her. But he also knew that if other Kindred in her city found out that he existed that he would be assumed to be her childe and they would possibly both be destroyed. He believes her when she says that she didn't embrace him. But something caused him to be like her and be Caitiff. Was it her blood left in his system from her ghouling him? Perhaps the blood she gave him when he was a starving newly embraced vampire left on her door step? Maybe it was a kind of fate.

In any case he knows that he must deal with the fact that he is clanless Kindred in a world of clans. Now he must make is way trying to find that minimal tolerance that will let him continue his existence. The blood bond with Helena will fade. His powers of the blood will increase. He began as a friendly and intelligent financial analyst. In his first steps into the night the powers of Presence came upon him. What will be become now under the pressures of New Corisican society?
