Repeat that to yourself. People are more important than these games. That means you. The player, not your character. To put it quite bluntly, your characters are disposable and are not YOU. This does not mean you will not be subject to some pretty nasty things in character.
This list pertains to In-Character content only, and not Out-of-Character behaviour. If you are looking for our Server Rules, Code of Conduct, and Bill of Rights see here. These are our typical warnings and restrictions that apply unless otherwise stated very clearly. Individual games may have their own content warnings and restrictions, which are ultimately are subject to mod approval. If the below or individual content warnings are violated or not appropriately given, please speak to the mods so that appropriate action can be taken. We do not, and will never, host overtly erotic or pornographic games. We do not judge those that play or run them, but they are not what we wish to host.
There may be some others that come up but those are the most prevalent things you will see.
I know many of you are sitting there going, "but surely you realize it happens and it happens in the real world".
Yes, I know. The difference is, this is a game. We collaborate on a story together and the things listed above add NOTHING to the story. Not one thing. Eliminating them from the giant box of crayons with which we color a game does not mean we can not create a good story.
Please keep this in mind. If you have pertinent questions or concerns, please let us know.
If you feel a particular scene crosses your personal boundaries, please let us know. If content restrictions or code of conduct are breached, we can speak to those involved and, if appropriate, take the appropriate disciplinary action. Even if this is not the case, sometimes (at ST discretion) it may be possible to work around or else narrate instead of playing something through in detail, bearing in mind that we do host horror games and some elements and themes are unavoidable.
